In the series, “Present Moments”, the haiku of Japanese masters are rendered into visual form. Each painting represents a snapshot in time, as is the purpose of haiku, to bring the viewer into present moment. Japanese characters are weaved and layered entangling the present with centuries past where the poems were initially conceived.
